Adventure Racing
Whether your goals are to complete in the world famous Primal Quest, a single or multi-day adventure race, or to simply gain familiarity and competency with fixed rope work, Planet Rock is dedicated to serving all of your adventure racing needs. You will find a complete pro shop stocked with premium lightweight gear from leading manufacturers that incorporates both safety and speed. Staffed with globally experienced instructors, novices and seasoned pros alike will learn different styles and techniques of rope ascension, traversing and rappelling.
The fees for checks and classes are shown per person in the chart below. All checks and classes include a certificate of completion, member card, and gear/equipment rental. (Certification is good for one year.)

- Ladder Ascending and Traversing Fixed Hand Ropes are included in the Ascending Fixed Ropes and Tyrolean Traverse classes.
- The ascending fixed ropes check and class fees include rappelling techniques.
Daily Fees once you are certified:
- Member Card Fees: Day Fee: $16
- Gear Rental: Harness: $4; Ascenders: $5; Belay Device: $1; Foot Loops: $1
Prices are based on fixed instruction time; additional time is subject to instruction rates.
There is a 10% discount for groups of six or more.
